From this summit, Skye Peak and Snowdown Mountain both have nice intermediate runs. The central Killington Peak is a good place to start, based out of the K-1 Lodge. Intermediate skiers and snowboarders have a lot of options at Killington. The features in this terrain park are typically the smallest on the mountain, but run the full length of the peak. Ramshead Mountain has some more beginner cruising, too, in addition to some of the terrain parks. The Snowshed Express chair here accesses one of the several beginner learning areas in addition to the conveyor lifts at Ramshead. While this may make it a bit harder to navigate, the different peaks and large lift infrastructure help to spread out crowds.īeginner skiers and snowboarders will want to start from the Snowshed base area. Killington Mountain Resort is spread out across seven mountains and four different base areas it is certainly the most spread out mountain on the East Coast.
